Applications
High-voltage scenarios: 66kV and above transmission and distribution systems preferred, such as urban underground grids, cross-sea cables.
Special laying: direct burial, row of pipes, tunnels and other multi-environmental adaptability, especially suitable for large-capacity power transmission (cross-section up to 2500mm²).
Industrial field: power plants, petrochemical plants and other places with high reliability requirements.
Key considerations
- Eddy current protection: non-magnetic clamps are required in AC systems, and three-phase cables are arranged in zigzag pattern to reduce eddy current loss.
- Grounding requirements: the metal shield needs to be grounded at least at one end (high-voltage systems often use cross-interconnection grounding).
- Bending restrictions: the minimum bending radius is usually 15D (D is the outer diameter of the cable) to avoid insulation damage.
